Bringing together 360 delegates from 39 countries representing 101 organisations and political parties across continents, the seminar focused on crucial global issues such as socio-economic development models, national sovereignty, world peace, neo-fascism, regional integration, and adjustments in international relations.
The Vietnamese delegation shared its insights into socio-economic development and the process of building socialism, while promoting dialogue, solidarity, and cooperation among progressive political forces worldwide.
The head of the Vietnamese delegation emphasised that the Doi Moi (Renewal) process, initiated by the Communist Party of Viet Nam in 1986, demonstrated that economic development must be closely linked to social progress and equity; remain the centre, the subject, the goal, and the driving force of development.
Viet Nam consistently pursues a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralisation, and diversification, while actively pursuing international integration based on respect for independence, sovereignty, equality, and mutual benefit. On the sidelines of the seminar, the Vietnamese delegation introduced the book titled “Aspiration for a Powerful Viet Nam in the New Era,” a collection of key articles and speeches by General Secretary and President To Lam.
