NA leader attends ceremony recognising Nghe An’s district as new-style rural area

A ceremony was held in Nghi Loc district, the central province of Nghe An, on April 30 to announce the district as a new-style rural area.

The event was attended by Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Vuong Dinh Hue.

At the ceremony, the local leaders received certificates of merit recognising the complex of temple and tomb dedicated to Nguyen Xi, a general and politician in the Later Le dynasty, as a special national historical relic site, and Cam bridge as a national historical relic site.

Over the past ten years, Nghi Loc district has mobilised and allocated more than 6 billion VND for socio-economic infrastructure in communes and townships.

The affiliate models have helped local people develop and create branded agricultural products. As a result, the locality’s agricultural production value continuously increased from 1.366 trillion VND in 2011 to 1.706 billion VND in 2020.

In the district, there are 310 farms, of which 40 meet the standards for the output of meat of all kinds reaching 9,000 tonnes. Cooperatives and craft villages have participated in building, developing and gradually standardising more than 40 local speciality products for the One Commune – One Product programme.

The material and spiritual life of the locals has been improved markedly. Per capita income in 2021 reached 47 million VND per year. In addition, Nghi Loc’s political security has continued to be maintained.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister also presented the Government's Emulation Flag to Nghi Loc district’s people and officials for their outstanding achievements in fulfilling all tasks and leading the patriotic emulation movement in Nghe An province in 2020.
