PM chairs working session on ensuring macroeconomic stability

On July 30, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a working session in Hanoi with ministries, branches, agencies and a number of experts, scientists and international organisations to collect opinions on completing the "Ensuring macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, fighting recession and ensuring major economic balances" project.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai, Finance Minister Ho Duc Phoc, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong, Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha, representatives and leaders of departments, ministries, branches and central agencies, a number of domestic and foreign experts and scientists, and representatives of several international organisations.

The Prime Minister said that he has assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to conduct a thematic study on maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, and ensuring major economic balances.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered the opening speech of the discussion on macroeconomic management. The PM affirmed that the Government always asks to listen to the opinions of scientists, managers and international organisations in order to proactively respond with appropriate, timely and scientific policies.
