Defence Academy urged to apply science and technology to training

The National Defence Academy should continue to actively apply scientific and technological achievements to innovate education and training contents.

Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong made the statement at the opening ceremony for the 2019-2020 academic year of the National Defence Academy in Hanoi, on September 16.

Addressing the ceremony, Politburo member Vuong lauded the academy for its efforts and achievements in recent times.

He asked the academy to continue to innovate the education and training contents and programmes suitable for objectives of combat, as well as further enhance the review of practice and scientific research to effectively serve the training tasks of the academy and the entire army.

He described the enhancement of national defence, security, social order and safety as the key and regular mission of the Party, State and the whole people.

Politburo member Vuong expressed his hope that the students would thoroughly grasp the political responsibility assigned by the Party, State, army and people, as well as uphold the high determination and spirit of self-training, whilst proactively and actively contributing their ideas to the Party, State, Ministry of Defence and the academy on the military and defence guidelines and policies.
