The event was attended by Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh appreciated and congratulated the Institute of Military Science and Technology on its achievements and development of over the past 60 years.
He also noted that the Institute should thoroughly grasp and creatively apply the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Party and State on defence and security and science-technology as well as pioneer in the industrial revolution 4.0 effectively, contributing to boosting the development of military science and technology in particular and the country in general.
It is essential to focus on designing and creating high-quality scientific and technological products with high value for the country’s defence and security and socio-economic development, added the Deputy PM.
He urged the solidarity and unification among the Party committee and units under the Institute as well as the training and education of officials and soldiers.
Deputy PM Binh also asked the Central Military Commission,Ministry of Defence, the central agencies and localities to continue to pay strong attention to, direct, coordinate and create favourable conditions for the Institute of Military Science and Technology, helping it to develop sustainably and fulfil all assigned tasks.
At the ceremony, the Deputy PM presented the title “Hero of People's Armed Forces” to the Institute for its great achievements since 2009, significantly contributing to the cause of building socialism and national protection.
