VN, RoK journalist associations strengthen co-operation

A delegation from the Vietnam Journalists Association (VJA) led by VJA Chairman Thuan Huu paid a working visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK) from August 27 – September 3, at the invitation of the Journalists Association of Korea (JAK).

This is an annual activity, which aims to contribute to enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening the friendship between the VJA and the JAK in particular and Vietnam and the RoK in general.

At a meeting, JAK President Jung Kyu Sung highly appreciated the ever-increasing growth co-operation between the journalists associations over the past 20 years. He affirmed that the JAK would further strengthen the friendly and cooperative ties between the two associations.

VJA Chairman Thuan Huu, who also is Party Central Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and President of the Confederation of ASEAN Journalists (CAJ), also highly appreciated the co-operation between two associations over the past time, as well as invited delegates of JAK to participate in an ASEAN press photo exhibition, which is expected to be held in December, 2016.

During the visit, the Vietnamese journalist delegation held working sessions with a number of central and local news agencies.
