More donations sent to COVID-19 Vaccine Fund

On June 15, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien received a donation worth VND1 billion from staff members of the Ministry of Transport to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.

While conveying his thanks to the Ministry’s staff members for their donation, the VFF President stressed that the calls made by the President, the VFF Presidium, and the Prime Minister for joint efforts in the fight against COVID-19 have touched the hearts of Vietnamese people at home and abroad, raising their responsibility in supporting the Party and State in the tough battle.

On the morning the same day, VFF Vice Chairman Phung Khanh Tai hosted a function to receive additional donations to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.

The latest donations came from readers of Dai Doan Ket (Great Unity) Newspaper, with VND500 million; Thien Ton Phat Quang – Nui Dinh Charity Association, with VND150 million; Buddhist followers of Vinh Phuc Tu Pagoda, with VND200 million; and the Vietnam Association for Supporting Industries, with VND400 million; among others.

In the afternoon, VFF Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh received donations of VND 250 million from the People's Police Academy, VND15 million from Team Saffaron Queen, and VND46 million from Newwave Solutions JSC.

PVI Insurance Corporation presents 750 COVID-19 antigen rapid test kits worth VND100 million to the Thua Thien – Hue Provincial Department of Health.

In Thua Thien – Hue Province, PVI Insurance Corporation’s Central and Central Highland branch presented 750 COVID-19 antigen rapid test kits worth VND100 million to the provincial Department of Health.

Also on June 15, many organisations, enterprises and individuals in Dong Thap Province, sent financial support worth VND 1.46 billion in total to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.

They included Kien Long Bank’s Dong Thap branch, Orient Food Co., Ltd, Artex Dong Thap JSC, Bank for Social Policies’ Dong Thap branch, and Masterise Group Corporation.

Meanwhile in Ben Tre Province, more than VND 31 billion for the COVID-19 vaccine fund was raised by 52 organisations and individuals at a fundraising programme held yesterday.
