PM values former Vietnamese experts’ contributions to Cambodian Revolution

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has reaffirmed that the Party and State always value the huge contributions made by the former Vietnamese experts to the Cambodian Revolution, particularly during its post-genocide period.

The PM made the remark at a meeting with Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Veteran Experts Assisting the Cambodian Revolution, in Hanoi, on February 6.

He highly appreciated the liaison committee for being active in supporting its members who are living in difficult conditions.

The committee was also hailed for their effective contributions to strengthening the Vietnam – Cambodia relations.

He also briefed the guest on the outcomes of the bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, and land border demarcation.

The same day, PM Phuc also hosted a meeting with Hai Phong city’s Liaison Committee of soldiers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign 64 years ago, during which he spoke highly of the soldiers’ service to the glorious Dien Bien Phu victory.

He emphasised that the soldiers have established themselves as an example of undaunted and revolutionary spirit for the younger generations to follow.

He also acknowledged the Hai Phong city authorities for supporting the war veterans over the past few years in order to promote the spirit of the Dien Bien Phu victory in the process of national construction and defence.
