Politburo member Hue made the remarks during his working session with the key leaders of the northern province on April 21.

He applauded the significant achievements Nam has attained over the past few years, as well as the province’s performance in the disbursement of public investment over the first three months of 2018.

The deputy PM asked Nam Dinh to accelerate agricultural restructuring and the construction of new-style rural areas in the aim of improving the living standards and income levels of local people.

The province was also requested to strengthen administrative reforms, while applying mechanisms and policies to support businesses operating in the locality and attract further investment.

At the working session, Deputy PM Hue and representatives from ministries and central agencies focused on removing the obstacles identified by Nam Dinh officials concerning the development of the My Trung industrial zone, the Nam Dinh 1 BOT thermal power plant project, and the coastal transport projects.

Earlier the same day, the deputy PM presented certificates from the Prime Minister to Nam Dinh authorities, officially recognising the districts of Truc Ninh, Giao Thuy, Nghia Hung, and Xuan Truong as new rural districts.
