65th founding anniversary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party congratulated

Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung led a delegation to the headquarters of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations on March 19 to congratulate the Party on the 65th anniversary of its foundation.

The Ambassador was received by member of the LPRP Central Committee and head of the commission Sounthone Sayachak.

At the meeting, the Vietnamese diplomat conveyed a letter of congratulations from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee to the LPRP Central Committee, and baskets of flowers from CPV General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong to his Laotiancounterpart Bounnhang Vorachith, former Party Chairman and President Khamtay Siphandone, and former Party General Secretary and President Choummaly Sayasone.

Also on the occasion, Ambassador Hung handed over a congratulatory message from Hoang Binh Quan, member of the CPV Central Committee and head of its Commission for External Relations, to his Lao counterpart Sounthone Sayachak.

Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Sounthone Sayachakexpressed his thanks to the Vietnamese leaders and people, saying that the Lao Party, State and people always remember the support from the Party, State and people of Vietnam for the country’s achievements.

For his part, Ambassador Hung underscored that cooperation between the two Parties in the past has been a decisive factor for all victories of the two countries’ revolutions as well as the causes of national constructionand development.

Vietnam consistently attaches importance to nurturing the bilateral relationship, he affirmed, believing that the two countries will overcome all difficulties and fulfil all set socio-economic development targets.
