Visiting the Srepok 1 and Quang Minh Solar Power Cluster in Ea Wer Commune, Buon Don District, Chinh highly praised the economic efficiency of the plant for supplying about 150 million kWh per year to the national grid with a turnover of about VND300 billion, contributing VND30 billion a year to the local budget.

The Politburo member suggested the local authorities to turn low efficiency agricultural production areas into solar energy projects, urging the Central Highlands province to review land planning and do a good job of planning to transmit and consume electricity produced from solar energy to harmonise interests among investors, the State and the people.

Along with that, Dak Lak should pay attention to environmental treatment and absolutely not to exchange the environment for economic development, Chinh stressed.

Touring the Serepok tourism - agriculture cooperative in Tan Hoa Commune, Buon Don District, the Politburo member shared in the joy of the cooperative members as their model of fruit tree farming has generated high economic efficiency with income of hundreds of millions of VND per cooperative member each year. The cooperative has 44 members, cultivating oranges, tangerines, grapefruit and jackfruit on an area of nearly 200 hectares.

Chinh suggested that the local authorities and relevant agencies in Dak Lak to facilitate the development and replication of the effective economic model of the Srepok cooperative with specific support such as boosting the application of science and technology in production and providing loans towards stable and sustainable development.

On the same day, Chinh and his mission visited and presented gifts to the two local families of martyrs in Tong Ju Village, Ea Kao Commune, Buon Ma Thuot City.
