He noted that the RoK is one of the top five science cooperation partners of Vietnam. The RoK could share experience and support Vietnam in developing new development models, such as virtual universities, distance education and e-learning, he said.

The Deputy PM urged the two countries’ relevant agencies to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese students to study in the RoK, focusing on vocational training and Korean teaching.

Furthermore, the sides should enhance their cooperation in various fields, such as culture and tourism, on the basis of mutual trust and understanding, he suggested.

Vietnam is the third biggest exporter to the RoK, while the RoK is one of the largest investors in Vietnam, he said.

Kim Sang Kon agreed with the host that the relations between Vietnam and the RoK are developing across the spheres of investment, trade, economics, culture and education.

The RoK is willing to share experience in new education methods with Vietnam, he said, adding that his Government will continue encouraging Korean businesses to pour investment into Vietnam, contributing to Vietnam’s exports and generating jobs for local workers.

The RoK’s Deputy PM is visiting Vietnam in order to attend the global human resources forum 2017, held in Hanoi on the same day.
