The surge in demand has driven up airfares, with travel agencies offering quick tours to meet the growing interest.
Round-trip flights from Vietnam to Thailand, particularly for January 4-6, have reached up to 13 million VND (540 USD) with Vietjet Air. Other airlines like Vietnam Airlines and Thai Airways have slightly lower prices ranging from 7.5 to 10.5 million VND (310 USD - 440 USD), but availability is limited due to last-minute bookings.
To cater to fans, travel agencies have launched two- or three-day tour packages, priced around 12 million VND (500 USD) per person. These include flights, hotel stays, insurance, meals, and tickets for the final match. Some agencies have even arranged charter flights to ensure availability, though the high costs have deterred a surge in bookings.
Vietnam Airlines is also accommodating the demand by deploying larger aircraft, including Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s, on routes to Bangkok. This adjustment not only supports team members but also fans travelling to cheer for the Golden Star Warriors.
