Ten countries compete in Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship in Phu Yen

On the morning of April 25, the 2025 Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship kicked off in Tuy Hoa City, in the central coastal province of Phu Yen.

The tournament is jointly organised by the Phu Yen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, and the Cong May Group Joint Stock Company.

The event features 22 teams from 10 countries and territories, including Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Vanuatu, China, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and Hong Kong (China).

The matches will take place until April 28.

The organisers have also arranged sightseeing tours for the athletes to visit notable local attractions, helping to foster friendship, promote sports and cultural exchange, and highlight the tourism and cultural values of Phu Yen in particular, and Vietnam as a whole.
