The victory sealed the series 3–1 for the Ho Chi Minh City-based side and marked their sixth VBA championship.
Brandis Raley-Ross was named Player of the Game and also received the Finals MVP award for his performances across the championship series.
Raley-Ross said the championship had been Saigon Heat’s objective from the outset of the season. He described the journey to the title as far from straightforward and highlighted the support of fans as a crucial source of encouragement for the entire squad.
“We set our sights on the championship from the start of the season. I feel truly great and very happy to have turned that goal into reality with Saigon Heat,” Raley-Ross said.
The title also marked a milestone for head coach Vu The Cang, who became the first Vietnamese head coach to lead a team to a VBA championship. With six trophies, Saigon Heat further consolidated their position as the most successful team in VBA history.
VBA 2026 marks the 11th edition of the Viet Nam Basketball Association (VBA), featuring six teams: Saigon Heat, Hanoi Buffaloes, Nha Trang Dolphins, Ho Chi Minh City Wings, Can Tho Catfish and Danang Dragons. The teams competed in a home-and-away round-robin format, with each side playing 20 matches before the top four advanced to the play-offs.
