At the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of President Luong Cuong to President El-Sisi, the government, and the people of Egypt. He expressed his determination to further strengthen the relations between the two countries, particularly by implementing the outcomes of President Luong Cuong’s state visit to Egypt in August 2025, during which both sides agreed to elevate their relations to a comprehensive partnership.
Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong affirmed that the upgrading to the comprehensive partnership reflects the stature of the bilateral relationship in the new period, demonstrating deeper political trust and broader cooperation frameworks at all levels in a more comprehensive, substantive, and profound manner.
Furthermore, the establishment of the Viet Nam–Egypt Comprehensive Partnership reinforces new mechanisms for cooperation, based on respecting international law, independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and each country’s political system.
To realise the vision of this comprehensive partnership, both countries have agreed to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as politics and security, economics, agriculture, and science and technology.
President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong on assuming his new post, expressing his impression and warm sentiments for the country and people of Viet Nam.
The Egyptian president said that both the Egyptian State and he personally highly value the positive developments in bilateral relations and affirmed his commitment to further promoting stronger and more dynamic Viet Nam–Egypt cooperation in the future.
