This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People’s Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.
The conference was honoured to receive a letter and a flower basket from General Secretary To Lam. In the letter, the General Secretary affirmed: Over the past 80 years, the People’s Public Security force has continuously grown and become stronger, always being a “steel shield”, a sharp “sword”, protecting the Party, protecting the State and the people. In that historical flow, every feat, every sacrifice of the cadres and soldiers of the People’s Public Security force is a beautiful symbol of loyalty, bravery and a spirit of dedication to serving the people.
Speaking at the symposium, General Luong Tam Quang emphasised: This is a forum gathering leading leaders and scientists, the workshop not only affirmed and honoured the feats, achievements and heroic revolutionary traditions of the Viet Nam People’s Public Security under the leadership of the Party; the great role of the masses in the cause of protecting security and order; and draws valuable lessons to serve the cause of protecting security and order in the new situation.
Through the symposium, it also clarified the requirements and tasks for the People’s Public Security force to join the country in entering a new era of development. This is also an opportunity for the Public Security force to affirm its determination to promote its glorious tradition, strive, not afraid of hardships and dangers, be ready to fight and sacrifice, maintain a peaceful and stable environment, maintain security and order in all situations; together with the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army, we will successfully implement the Party’s strategic policies, bringing the country firmly into a new era, an era of development and prosperity.
During the preparation process, the Organising Committee received 115 enthusiastic, profound and valuable presentations in both theory and practice from scientists, public security and military officers at all levels and sectors; providing scientific arguments for planning guidelines and policies to protect security and order and build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People’s Public Security force, excellently meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
