Recently, in Quang Ninh’s capital city of Ha Long, the Binh Dinh Department of Tourism hosted a conference on tourism linkage between Binh Dinh, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong. It was an occasion for state management agencies, tourism associations and travel agencies of the three provinces to discuss and explore the opportunities for tourism cooperation.
For now, linkage is regarded as an important measure to boost tourism. Effective and sustainable tourism linkage is expected to help localities advance farther and faster together.
In recent times, tourism service providers in Quang Ninh have actively worked together while looking for partners to create a network in the service supply chain, thereby providing high-quality packages with attractive prices.
The province has developed the value chains of sea-based tourism, eco-tourism, and high-end leisure tourism, while encouraging the development of community tourism products, especially adventure and experience tourism aligned with natural landscapes and local ethnic culture.
Presently, Quang Ninh has forged tourism cooperation with Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Bac Ninh and Vinh Phuc, as well as southern localities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.
From now until the year end, Sun Group will offer a 30% discount on its services for those flying from or to Van Don International Airport. Many hotels and resorts also plan to reduce their service prices by 10-20% to boost demand.
In the future, Quang Ninh’s tourism sector will continue to connect tourism destinations to form a network linking transport and accommodation service providers with restaurants to help bring down costs and formulate programmes to attract visitors in autumn and winter.
Quang Ninh will develop new tourism products and expand its tourism spaces to islands and localities, trial night-time and street tourism products, and assist local tourism agencies to participate in international travel fairs.
At the same time, the province will organise tourism promotion programmes in domestic localities with connections to Van Don Airport, such as Da Nang and Phu Quoc, as well as foreign markets such as Southeast Asia, the Republic of Korea, Japan, to promote sustainable tourism.
