According to the provincial People’s Committee, 12.06 million tourists arrived in the province during the first eight months of this year, 1.47 times higher than the same period in 2022, including 875,000 foreign arrivals. The total tourism revenue in eight months hit nearly 24 trillion VND, 1.6 times higher than the corresponding period in 2022.

In particular, the province received 380,000 visitors during the four-day National Day holiday from September 1-4, including 24,500 foreign visitors, 4 times higher than the same period in 2022.

The province has focused on promoting its cultural values, advantages of sea and island tourism, and eco-tourism to lure more visitors, especially the world natural wonders of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.

Regarding international tourists, Quang Ninh has made an effort to diversify sources of visitors, with the launch of professional tours exclusively for Muslims in August this year.
