Representatives of the Ha Noi Municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the results of the international concert event “BigBang 2026–2027 World Tour in Ha Noi – XX: Cosmos”, which took place on October 24 and 25.
The concerts, staged at My Dinh Stadium, attracted approximately 90,000 domestic and international concertgoers.
As one of the major international cultural and entertainment events of 2026, the concerts catered to public demand for cultural and artistic experiences while generating positive spillover effects for tourism, services, and the promotion of the capital’s image. The successful staging of the event further demonstrated Ha Noi’s potential and appeal as a destination for international performances, while highlighting the increasingly demanding requirements for management, organisation, and safety at large-scale events.
The Ha Noi Municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism took the lead in coordinating with relevant departments, agencies, local authorities, and the event organiser to complete the necessary procedures, review organisational requirements, conduct on-site inspections, and develop plans to ensure security, public order, traffic safety, medical services, fire prevention and fighting, and environmental sanitation.
On October 23 and 24 alone, Ha Noi welcomed approximately 220,000 tourist arrivals, up 15.6% from the previous week, including around 67,900 international arrivals. Demand for transport, shopping, dining, and accommodation rose sharply. Flight bookings to Ha Noi on Trip.com increased by 74%, while searches for trips to the capital on Traveloka quadrupled.
Room occupancy rates at several three- to five-star hotels reached between 75% and 100%. Total tourism revenue during the period was estimated at around 750 billion VND.
These results further underscored the benefits of combining international artistic performances with destination promotion, tourism development, and related services. The event helped promote Ha Noi as a safe destination for international visitors, created opportunities to stimulate spending on services and enhanced the effectiveness of efforts to promote the capital’s image through domestic and international media channels.
The event also provides a foundation for Ha Noi to further capitalise on the links between culture, the arts, tourism, and the economy. This includes gradually developing event-based tourism products, improving the quality of visitor experiences, and generating greater value from international cultural and entertainment activities.
