The opening ceremony, themed “Mong Cultural Colours – Convergence and Radiance”, is scheduled for 8:10pm on October 9 and is expected to be broadcast live on Viet Nam Television’s VTV8 channel and provincial television stations. The closing ceremony will take place on the evening of October 11 under the theme “Mong Colours Converge – Cultural Essence Spreads”

As part of the festival, Dien Bien will organise visits to Tu Lu-Tia Lo Village in Pu Nhi Commune, featuring a traditional market, cultural exchanges, folk games, local cuisine and community-based tourism products showcasing Mong cultural identity.

The festival aims to honour and promote Mong cultural heritage, strengthen solidarity among ethnic groups, and promote Dien Bien’s people, culture and tourism to visitors.
