Nearly 100 artifacts, made of various materials including porcelain, ceramic, bronze, gold, silver, terra-cotta and pearl, date back from the early days in the founding history of the Vietnamese nation to the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945), the last royal monarchy in Vietnam’s history.

The exhibits are divided into different categories, including the Dong Son civilisation’s totems, dragons, cranes, lions and “nghe” – a fictional creature with a lion-like head, long tail and dog-like body, and the 12 animal signs of the Vietnamese zodiac.

Additionally, the exhibition employed 3D interactive technology for a number of objects which cannot be showcased but can be viewed digitally.

The exhibition will run until February, 2016.
