Sanna Khanh Hoa beat Thuan An Hue 4-2 in the Sunday finals to claim the 2012 title and a cash prize of VND30 million (US$1,440), while Quang Huy Mobile and VCB Quang Nam shared the third prize, pocketing VND10 million (US$480) each.
The VND5 million (US$240) fair-play prize was awarded to Thuan An Hue, which also received VND20 million (US$960) as the runners-up at this year’s event.
Thuan An Hue’s Nguyen Van Hien, Sanna Khanh Hoa’s Trang Quoc Hoang and Duong Chi Hung from Pymepharco Phu Yen were named the tournament’s best player, best goalkeeper and top scorer, respectively, with cash prizes of VND3 million (US$144) each.
The annual event, which kicked off on May 19, brought together eight teams from across the country which were divided into two groups A and B, and competed in a round robin format to decide the top two teams from each group that would play in the semi-finals.
