On July 12, in Hanoi, the Hanoi Public Security held the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the photo contest “The image of the Hanoi Public Security officer: Courageous, humane, dedicated to the people” and the mobile exhibition “80 years of Hanoi Public Security – An everlasting epic.”

This meaningful activity celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force of Viet Nam; the 79th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Security Force; and the 20th Anniversary of the All-People’s Day for National Security Protection.

After more than three months since its launch, the contest received over 1,300 entries from 105 authors, including 728 single photographs and 75 photo series.

With rich and diverse themes, each entry is a vivid slice reflecting the political courage, fighting spirit, will to overcome difficulties and silent dedication of the Hanoi Public Security force over their 80-year journey of building and growth.

From silent achievements in ensuring national security, maintaining social order and safety, uncompromisingly combating various crimes, and heroically battling fires, to the close, devoted image of serving the people – all are portrayed authentically and emotionally through each frame.

Many works also depict daily life, cultural conduct, the spirit of learning and training, cultural and sports activities, and volunteer work for the community, contributing to spreading the image of the Hanoi Public Security officer “sacrificing for the nation, serving the people.”

The Organising Committee selected 122 works of high artistic quality for display at the exhibition and inclusion in a photo book, among which 28 outstanding works were nominated for awards.

Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of Hanoi Public Security, highly appreciated the enthusiastic participation of both professional and amateur photographers, as well as public security officers. The entries profoundly conveyed the image of the Hanoi Public Security officer in work, combat, and daily life – rich in artistry, yet authentic and moving.

Immediately following the closing ceremony and awards presentation, delegates cut the ribbon to open the mobile exhibition “80 Years of Hanoi Public Security – An everlasting epic.”

Through the photo contest and exhibition, the Organising Committee hopes to arouse pride, the spirit of dedication, and social responsibility among each Hanoi Public Security officer, while contributing to spreading the noble values of the People's Public Security force in the hearts of Hanoi’s people and the entire nation.
