Stock market falls after six rising sessions

VN-Index decreased by 1.15% to 1,141.42 points on October 16 after gaining for six consecutive sessions.

The index closed 13.31 points lower after gaining 3.12 points in the previous session.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange expanded by 9% to 15.229 trillion VND (622.33 million USD).

The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 24 tickers fell.

Foreign investors were net seller to the tune of 826 billion VND, mainly selling MWG of Mobile World and FPT of FPT Corporation.

The HNX-Index for stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange reduced by 1.08% while the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market fell 0.63%.
