From the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month in the last year to the 10th day of the Lunar New Year of 2025, the Saigontourist travel system nationwide has been servingover 20,000 Vietnamese tourists, overseas Vietnamese, and international visitors travelling within Vietnam and abroad, including those arriving by sea, river, and air.
Notably, on the first day of the first lunar month, the company will welcome the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship carrying 3,000 tourists from the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and other countries to explore Da Nang, Hoi An, and Hue. According to the itinerary, the international cruise guests will continue to visit Ho Chi Minh City, Tien Giang, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and leave Vietnam on the evening of the third day of the Lunar New Year.
In addition to the international guests arriving in Vietnam by sea, during Tet 2025, Saigontourist will also welcome 24 international river cruises, including the Toum Tiou, Indochine, and Lan Diep ships from Cambodia through the Tien River border gate, visiting Tan Chau, Chau Doc, Sa Dec, Vinh Long, Cai Be, My Tho, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The itinerary will take guests to visit famous destinations such as the Ba Chua Xu Temple, Tay An Pagoda, Chau Phong Cham Village, Kien An Cung Pagoda, Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House, Sa Dec Market, Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet, Thoi Son Islet, Cu Chi Tunnels, and the Saigon City Tour, including the Cho Lon area in District 5.
The main departure points for the Tet tours of Saigontouristare concentrated in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Can Tho. Specifically, in the Ho Chi Minh City market, the company will serve 200 groups, totalling 7,000 Vietnamese tourists on domestic and international tours. Popular destinations include the US, Australia, Europe, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, the Anthem of the Seas cruise with stops in Singapore, Penang, Phuket, Hanoi, the East-West North-South regions, Phu Quoc, the Mekong Delta, Central Vietnam, Ninh Chu, Tay Ninh, and Da Lat.

As part of the programme, several meaningful activities took place, such as the experience of becoming a Saigon Special Forces". Participants had the chance to visit the Intelligence Museum, admire valuable artefacts, and learn about the historical journey of the Saigon Special Forces soldiers. They also explored the magnificent underground tunnels, experienced the rural wartime landscape, and heard inspiring historical stories full of national pride.
A special highlight of the programme was the flower offering ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Statue, where the overseas Vietnamese community presented meaningful Tet gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, families with meritorious contributions, and those in difficult circumstances. This gesture aimed to spread the spirit of compassion and sharing during the Tet season.
This is not just a journey, but also an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese to connect with their roots and spread love.
