At the reception, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son reiterated that Vietnam attaches importance to strengthening its comprehensive partnership with the UAE and welcomes the appointment of the UAE Minister of Investment as the focal minister for bilateral cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the UAE Minister of Investment's visit and the fact that many large UAE corporations and enterprises have recently come to Vietnam to survey investment opportunities in Vietnam.
This is a concrete action to implement the commitments between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and senior UAE leaders during his official visit last October.
The UAE Minister of Investment respectfully thanked Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son for their attention and close direction in promoting relations with the UAE.
The Minister emphasised that the UAE highly values the results achieved during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to the UAE, accordingly, the important goal of this visit to Vietnam is to concretise the commitments and strive to achieve specific results and cooperation projects.
Alsuwaidi welcomed Bui's participation in the World Government Summit 2025, which will take place in the UAE from February 11 to 13.
He noted the UAE is particularly interested in high technology, artificial intelligence, energy, and logistics and highly appreciates Vietnam’s investment and business environment.
He said that an increasing number of UAE businesses and investment funds are seeking investment opportunities in Vietnam, pledging he will further enhance his role as the focal minister for bilateral cooperation to promote collaboration in key areas of mutual interest.
Both sides vowed to continue fostering the implementation of cooperation projects agreed by their senior leaders, such as the UAE's investment in helping Vietnam build a youth football academy for the Hanoi Police Football Club and an investment project for rice cultivation in Vietnam for exports to ensure food security for the UAE.
