The sporting achievements of the Vietnamese Para Sports Delegation at the 13th ASEAN Para Games have presented a positive image of athletes with disabilities. The issue is the social responsibility in removing barriers and expanding opportunities for genuine integration of the community of people with disabilities in general.

Exceeding its target with 38 gold medals, the Vietnamese para sports delegation concluded a highly successful campaign at the 13th ASEAN Para Games, further cementing its strong presence on the regional stage.

Viet Nam claimed another gold medal at the 13th ASEAN Para Games on January 21, with swimmer Vi Thi Hang delivering an impressive performance and breaking the Games record in the women’s 50m backstroke (S6–S7).

The 13th ASEAN Para Games will officially open in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on the evening of January 20.

A ceremony to see off the Vietnamese sport delegation to compete at the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Thailand from January 15-27, was held at Noi Bai International Airport in Ha Noi on January 15.
