On the evening of October 2, Da Nang welcomed flight CZ8155 of China Southern Airlines, carrying more than 170 passengers from Shenzhen (China) to Da Nang International Airport.

At the “Northwest-Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Connection” conference held in Dien Bien on September 20, Phan Nguyen Hong, Deputy Head of the Commercial-Passenger Department of Viet Nam Airlines, said that there are positive signals about the prospect of opening flights to and from Dien Bien, including the Ho Chi Minh City-Dien Bien route.

The Ha Noi–Ho Chi Minh City air route continues to rank among the world's top 10 busiest domestic routes, underscoring the high operational frequency and heavy service demand on this trunk line connecting the nation’s two largest cities, Noi Bai International Airport has reported.
