Over the past decade, the Viet Nam–ASEAN Economic Cooperation Forum has successfully affirmed the value of Vietnamese brands in the ASEAN regional market.
Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN–China Centre (ACC), emphasised that Party General Secretary and State President To Lam’s decision to choose China as the destination of his first overseas visit after taking office clearly demonstrates the high priority attached to developing relations between the two Parties and the two countries, reflecting the stature and strategic nature of Viet Nam–China relations.
Viet Nam took part in regional financial cooperation, attending the 30th ASEAN Finance Ministers’ Meeting (AFMM 30), and the ASEAN Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (AFMGM 13), as well as related meetings held online from April 7–10.
Amid rising logistics costs and increasingly unpredictable international transport risks, nearby markets such as ASEAN are becoming an important anchor for Viet Nam’s agricultural exports. In addition to advantages in shipping costs and time, the region is witnessing growing demand for products such as fruits and vegetables, rubber, and seafood.
The “ASEAN People-to-People Connectivity” programme is a meaningful initiative that contributes to enhancing people-to-people exchanges as well as strengthening solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between Viet Nam and ASEAN countries; while also promoting the image of a friendly Viet Nam rich in cultural identity in the process of international integration.
