Minister congratulates Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team

Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, member of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, congratulated and praised Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team after they won the women's doubles gold medal at the 20th Asian Games (ASIAD 20) in Nagoya, Japan, and instructed the Viet Nam Sports Delegation to award the athletes an immediate bonus.

Viet Nam aims to win four gold medals

This afternoon, September 19, the 20th Asian Games (ASIAD 20) officially opened at Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Aichi–Nagoya, Japan. The Vietnamese sports delegation will enter the competition aiming to secure at least four gold medals; while expectations are high in several disciplines, the team also faces immense pressure from the continent’s top competitors.
