Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah departed Ha Noi on December 2, concluding his three-day state visit to Viet Nam at the invitation of State President Luong Cuong.
State President Luong Cuong on December 1 hosted a state banquet in honour of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and the high-ranking delegation of Brunei on their state visit to Viet Nam from November 30 to December 2. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was also in attendance.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said Viet Nam always attaches great importance to advancing its Comprehensive Partnership with Brunei and hopes that the bilateral ties will continue to develop substantively, bringing concrete benefits and contributing to peace, stability and sustainable development in the region.
President Luong Cuong hosted an official welcome ceremony and held talks with Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, who is paying a State visit to Viet Nam from January 30 to December 2, at the Presidential Palace on December 1.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army (VPA) and Deputy Minister of National Defence, has urged closer coordination between the VPA and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) to effectively implement agreed cooperation areas.
As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance cultural diplomacy and promote Viet Nam's image abroad, the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei, in collaboration with International School Brunei (ISB), organised a cultural exchange event on the afternoon of July 2 to showcase Vietnamese literature and traditional hand embroidery art.
