Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan on June 24 received Norwegian Ambassador to Viet Nam Hilde Solbakken, on her farewell visit marking the conclusion of her diplomatic mission.

Amid the military conflict in the Middle East, the Ministry of Construction has submitted a report to Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son outlining the impacts of fuel price volatility and proposing a set of urgent measures to stabilise domestic transport and construction activities.

In Viet Nam, over the past 10 years, greenhouse gas emissions have risen by 6.2% per year on average, reaching about 5.2 tonnes per person. This figure is approximately 45.6% higher than the average of countries in the middle-income group.

The Ministry of Construction has urged Ninh Binh authorities to prepare a feasibility study on the potential development of an international airport in the province, the ministry said in a report submitted to the Government regarding a proposal from private construction company Xuan Truong.

The government has recently issued Decree No. 140/2025/ND-CP (June 12, 2025, clearly) to define the responsibilities, tasks, and authority of two-level local authorities in the field of state management under the Ministry of Construction. The decree will take effect on July 1, 2025, with some provisions taking retroactive effect from March 1, 2025.
