Ambassador Do Hung Viet, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the United Nations (UN), has called on the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states to defend the group’s founding principles by upholding the spirit of solidarity and speaking out strongly against the blockade and sanctions imposed on Cuba.

The Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House and Cuba’s Fidel Castro Ruz Centre have agreed to coordinate the publication of "Obras Escogidas" by Raúl Castro (selected works), marking a significant joint effort to preserve and promote the Cuban leader’s ideological legacy while deepening bilateral ties.

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam To Lam and State President Luong Cuong on December 31 jointly sent a congratulatory message to First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Caribbean country's National Day (January 1, 1959 – January 1, 2026).

Viet Nam Television (VTV), in collaboration with Cubavisión Internacional (CVI), will air a special documentary series titled “Cuba and Viet Nam: Brothers by Choice” to mark the 65th anniversary of bilateral ties.

Cuba will maintain its tradition of educational cooperation with Viet Nam by offering 15 full scholarships to Vietnamese students for the 2026–2027 academic year, the Cuban Government has announced.
