Biomedical cooperation between Viet Nam and Cuba is considered a concrete step to realise Resolution 57 of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, as well as Resolution 72 on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of public health.

Viet Nam welcomes and supports Cuba and the US engaging in dialogue to seek solutions to differences in their bilateral relations, based on respect for independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and fundamental principles of international law.

Viet Nam is committed to working closely with Cuba to implement cooperation programmes and projects, delivering tangible benefits to businesses and people in both countries, a senior Party official has said.

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam To Lam and State President Luong Cuong on December 31 jointly sent a congratulatory message to First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Caribbean country's National Day (January 1, 1959 – January 1, 2026).

Viet Nam Television (VTV), in collaboration with Cubavisión Internacional (CVI), will air a special documentary series titled “Cuba and Viet Nam: Brothers by Choice” to mark the 65th anniversary of bilateral ties.
