Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau received Special Advisor to the Japan-Viet Nam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance Takebe Tsutomu in Ha Noi on June 26.

During a meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu in Tokyo on June 10, Deputy PM Le Tien Chau welcomed the continued substantive development of the Viet Nam–Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership across all areas, underpinned by a high level of political trust.

Japan remains Viet Nam's largest provider of official development assistance (ODA) and its top partner in labour cooperation, while ranking third in investment and fourth in trade and tourism. Cooperation between localities and people-to-people exchanges has also continued to flourish, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau noted.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau chaired discussions on a project to develop several major universities in the Southeast region to reach the advanced standards of leading institutions in Asia, during a meeting held at the Government Headquarters on April 28.
