Viet Nam and Austria are seeking to expand cooperation in firefighting, rescue operations and disaster response, building on decades of successful collaboration in community safety and emergency management.

The Prime Minister has directed ministries, agencies, local authorities and relevant units to intensify disaster prevention, response and recovery efforts in a timely, coordinated and effective manner, under the principle of “proactive prevention – timely forecasting, warning and response – rapid and effective recovery,” with protecting people’s lives as the top priority.
