As citizens nationwide headed to the polls to elect deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels, reporters from press agencies were present at numerous polling stations across the country, capturing the solemn and festive atmosphere of the nation’s election day.

On March 15, voters across the country eagerly headed to the polls to exercise their rights and fulfil their civic duties. Among them were first-time voters who had just come of age, feeling both excited and slightly nervous, as well as families and couples who enthusiastically went to cast their ballots together.

A total of 71,392,498 out of 76,609,388 voters nationwide had cast their ballots as of 16:00 on March 15, representing a turnout of 93.19%, member of the National Election Council and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh told reporters at the Election Press Centre in Ha Noi.

Party General Secretary To Lam, also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, cast his vote on the morning of March 15 at polling station No. 2 in Ba Dinh ward of Ha Noi, to elect deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh cast his ballot at 7:00 on March 15 at Polling Station No. 21 in Tay Ho ward, Ha Noi, joining nearly 79 million registered voters nationwide in electing deputies to the 16th National Assembly (NA) and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Ahead of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, supervision of election preparations is being implemented synchronously by the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the Capital Ha Noi, in order to ensure that the election takes place democratically, in accordance with regulations and safely.
