Close inspection and supervision from the grassroots level
In many localities, supervision delegations were established early to examine preparation work at electoral units and polling areas. This activity aims to promptly grasp the actual situation, provide guidance and remind units to fully comply with legal regulations on elections.
Implementing Plan No. 12/KH-MTTQ dated November 17, 2025 on inspection and supervision of the election of deputies to the National Assembly and deputies to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, the supervision content focuses on many important stages in the election preparation process. The focus includes the implementation of directives from higher authorities, communication work on the election to the people, and the posting of voter lists and lists of candidates in accordance with regulations.
In localities across Ha Noi, election preparation has been carried out synchronously. Supervision delegations inspect the preparation of facilities and equipment serving election work at polling areas, plans to ensure security and order, as well as other necessary conditions to facilitate voters when participating in voting.
Luong Dinh Hoi, Head of the Election Team of Van Mieu–Quoc Tu Giam ward, shared that residential groups have proactively mobilised youth union members and residents to participate in cleaning the environment and decorating polling areas, contributing to creating a spacious and convenient space for voters when coming to exercise their civic rights.
At polling stations, the list of candidates is publicly posted in accordance with regulations, creating conditions for people to monitor and check information. Communication on the election is also carried out in many forms such as loudspeaker systems, banners, slogans and other visual forms.
Through inspection work, it shows that wards have consolidated Election Steering Committees headed by the Party Committee Secretary; established ward Election Committees, subcommittees and supporting teams serving election work in accordance with regulations. The division of electoral units, the expected number of deputies to be elected and the determination of polling areas have been carried out scientifically, suitable to population characteristics and local conditions. Units have basically proactively implemented preparation steps in accordance with guidance and plans.
Applying digital transformation to election communication for voters
Alongside supervision at localities, many places have actively renewed communication methods to facilitate voters’ access to election information. At Ngoc Hoi High School (Thanh Tri), the school coordinated with the Commune Youth Union to produce a communication video about the election using artificial intelligence technology.
The content is designed with visual and vivid images, expressed in a way close to young people, helping 12th-grade students, young voters participating in voting for the first time, easily access information and better understand the meaning and procedures of the election.
In Duong Noi ward, the ward Trade Union launched a “Digital map of election information”, helping people easily look up information related to the election. By scanning a QR code, voters can directly access the map to find polling locations, electoral units as well as information about candidates for the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.
The map system is designed to be intuitive and easy to use, suitable for many groups of citizens. The implementation of the digital map not only helps voters access information quickly and accurately but also contributes to enhancing transparency in election organisation, while demonstrating efforts to apply digital technology in activities serving the people.
Along with that, Trade Union groups in enterprises are considered an “extended arm” in communication work about the election. Ms Dinh Hong Khuyen, an employee at Viet Nam Machinery Development Investment Joint Stock Company, said that thanks to Trade Union communication activities, she better understands the meaning and importance of the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels. According to her, participating in voting is not only a right but also a responsibility of every citizen.
Continuing supervision during and after election day
According to the plan, supervision activities will continue throughout the election process. On election day, supervision delegations will monitor the voting procedure, vote counting and the announcement of election results at polling areas. After election day, receiving voters’ feedback, monitoring the situation and evaluating the results of election organisation in localities will also continue.
Supervision activities of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels not only help promptly detect and handle arising issues during election preparation, but also contribute to enhancing the responsibility of organisations in charge of election work at the grassroots level. Thereby, helping ensure that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term takes place democratically, in accordance with the law, safely and successfully, while promoting the people’s mastery in choosing worthy representatives of their will and aspirations.
