Houses must be re-built for people who lose homes due to floods before Lunar New Year: PM

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has requested competent agencies to review households whose houses have collapsed, fallen down, or been swept away by floods, and arrange temporary accommodation for people; support and complete house repairs for people before November 30, 2025; and develop a project to build houses for people who lost their homes before January 31, 2026 so that they will have houses to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Tet).

Supporting residents isolated by floods

Heavy rains in recent days have caused serious landslides in many areas, cutting off transport routes and isolating mountainous regions of Da Nang City. Local authorities and functional forces are urgently organising food, relief supplies, and essential goods for residents in the isolated areas.

Swift recovery efforts restore normal life after floods

Floodwaters in the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, and Lang Son had mostly receded by October 10. Local authorities mobilised officials, relevant agencies, and residents to remove debris, restore electricity, water supply, and telecommunications, and help communities resume normal life as soon as possible.
