Viet Nam and China have signed a protocol allowing the export of fresh Vietnamese jackfruits to the Chinese market, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment announced.
Viet Nam’s fruit and vegetable exports reached 7.09 billion USD in the first 10 months of 2025, up 15% year-on-year. China accounted for the largest share at 62.9%, followed by the US (6.6%) and the Republic of Korea (3.9%). Durian, banana, and pomelo remained the key export items, with markets expanding to the US, Australia, Japan, and several other “demanding” destinations.
According to preliminary figures from the General Department of Customs, in September 2025 Viet Nam’s fruit and vegetable export turnover reached nearly 1.3 billion USD, up 35.9% compared to August 2025 and 41% year-on-year.
