Gold prices fell sharply on the international market on August 19, 2026. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings also tumbled, dropping by up to 1.6 million VND per tael. SJC gold bars were listed at 139.7-142.7 million VND per tael for buying and selling, while the company quoted gold rings at 139.2-142.2 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices fell to 4,353.9 USD per ounce on August 14, ending a four-session winning streak. In the domestic market, gold prices also dropped sharply, with SJC gold bars down 1 million VND per tael to 143.3 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices edged up to 4,055.4 USD per ounce on August 4 as inflationary pressure weakened and bargain-hunting demand increased. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings fell sharply on the selling side, quoted at 140.5 million VND and 140 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices continued to rise on July 30, trading at 4,066 USD per ounce as the US dollar and yields on US Treasury bonds weakened. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings inched up, quoted at 141.7 million VND and 141.2 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices continued to edge lower on July 20, trading at 4,019 USD per ounce after posting a second consecutive weekly decline. In the domestic market, SJC gold bar prices fell by 1.5 million VND per tael, with buying and selling prices quoted at 143 million VND and 146 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices recovered on July 3, exceeding 4,100 USD per ounce as weak employment data reduced expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) would raise interest rates. In the domestic market, SJC gold bar prices surged by 3 million VND per tael, with buying and selling prices listed at 148.4 million VND and 151.4 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices continued to surge on the afternoon of March 31, trading at 4,560.2 USD per ounce, driven by rising safe-haven demand amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. Domestically, both SJC gold bars and rings increased by 1.1 million VND per tael, with selling prices listed at 174.9 million VND per tael and 174.7 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices rebounded on March 17, trading at 5,007.9 USD per ounce, amid signs of easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings both edged down slightly, with prices quoted at 183 million VND per tael and 182.7 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices rose again on the afternoon of March 10, driven by strong purchases from central banks, trading at 5,185 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, prices of SJC gold bars and rings both increased by 2 million VND per tael, reaching 186.1 million VND per tael and 185.8 million VND per tael, respectively.

Gold prices on March 7 increased in line with the global upward trend. SJC gold bars rose by 1.2 million VND per tael compared with the previous day, trading at 182 million VND per tael (buying) and 185 million VND per tael (selling).

Gold prices on the afternoon of March 2 saw SJC gold bars and rings continue to surge, approaching 191 million VND per tael. Meanwhile, global gold prices rose to around 5,400 USD per ounce.

Gold prices on January 6 saw SJC gold bars continue to rise at the start of the trading session, pushing the buying–selling range to 156 million–158 million VND per tael, up 900,000 VND per tael on both the buying and selling sides compared with yesterday’s listed prices.

Gold prices continued to surge, reaching a one-month high as major brands simultaneously raised both buying and selling prices by 1.1 million VND per tael. SJC gold bars were quoted at 153.6 million VND per tael on the buying side and 155.6 million VND per tael on the selling side, marking a sharp increase in both directions compared with the previous session.

Global gold prices on November 29 rose vigorously, surpassing 4,200 USD per ounce in the context of increasing safe-haven demand and expectations that the FED may soon cut interest rates. Domestically, gold bars prices climbed 700,000 VND per tael, reaching 154.9 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings jumped 1.2 million VND per tael, listed at 153.1 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices edged down to around 4,125 USD per ounce on November 12 as investors took profits following a three-week high. In Viet Nam, SJC gold bars and rings also declined simultaneously, trading at 151.5 million VND and 149.7 million VND per tael, respectively.

Following the downward trend of global gold prices, domestic gold prices also declined sharply on October 24 afternoon. SJC gold bars were traded at 148.5 million VND per tael, down 1.3 million VND from the morning session and 1 million VND compared to yesterday's closing price.

In the domestic market, SJC-branded gold bars followed the global downtrend on October 22, trading at 148.5 million VND per tael, while gold rings were quoted at 146.5 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices dropped sharply on October 18 to 4,246.8 USD per ounce, following a wave of profit-taking by investors and the strengthening of the US dollar. In Viet Nam, both SJC gold bars and rings fell steeply, losing 2 million VND per tael, with prices listed at 151 million VND per tael and 150.2 million VND per tael, respectively.

In Vietnam’s domestic market, SJC-branded gold bars surged sharply to 152.2 million VND per tael, while gold rings nearly caught up, reaching 151.5 million VND per tael.

Domestic gold bar and ring prices saw an increase, trading at 118 million VND per tael and 114.4 million VND per tael, respectively.
