The People’s Committee of Vinh Long province held a working session on December 22 with Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries to discuss cooperation and investment opportunities in energy, renewable energy, and the development of economic zones and industrial parks in the Mekong Delta locality.

Following the administrative merger, Quang Tri Province has actively attracted investment into industrial parks with a cooperative approach, ensuring a harmonious balance of interests between the locality and investors. As a result, many enterprises have proactively invested in large-scale, growth-driving projects to tap the province’s considerable potential as well as its strength in transportation.

The stringent standards accompanying new-generation foreign direct investment (FDI) pose considerable challenges for industrial parks in Viet Nam, which now have only one path forward, that is to upgrade themselves.

Alongside economic benefits, eco-industrial parks linked with the circular economy carry notable environmental significance. In the context of integration while aiming for the Net Zero goal, this is an inevitable trend and a law of development of the global economy.

Bac Ninh’s industrial parks (IPs) attracted 59.96 million USD in both newly registered and adjusted investment capital in July, including 36.41 million USD of foreign direct investment (FDI).
