Viet Nam welcomed 13.9 million international visitors in the first seven months of 2026, up 13.8% year-on-year, achieving about 56% of this year's target of 25 million foreign arrivals, reported the National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance.

Viet Nam posted its best-ever first-quarter tourism performance, welcoming 6.76 million international visitors in the first three months of 2026, up 12.4% year-on-year, according to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).

The total number of international tourist arrivals to Viet Nam in the first six months of 2025 is estimated at 10,664,608, an increase of 20.7% compared to the same period in 2024. Domestic tourism is estimated at 77.5 million arrivals. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 518 trillion VND.
International search interest in travel to Viet Nam has grown by 10–25% since the beginning of the year, ranking seventh globally. Viet Nam is also the only Southeast Asian destination to make the global top 10, far surpassing regional peers.
In the first five months of 2025, Viet Nam welcomed more than 9.2 million international visitors, marking a 21.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024. In May alone, the number of international arrivals reached 1.53 million, up 10.5% year-on-year.
