The State visit to Laos on February 5 by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam is expected to create strong new momentum for the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between the two countries, according to Lao Ambassador to Viet Nam Khamphao Ernthavanh.

Laos has consistently regarded its relationship with Viet Nam as a top priority in its foreign policy, Lao Ambassador to Viet Nam Khamphao Ernthavanh said in an interview with the press on the occasion of the upcoming state visit to Viet Nam by General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse.

Lao Ambassador to Viet Nam Khamphao Ernthavanh has stressed that bilateral cooperation in education and training and people-to-people exchanges from 2026 onwards will continue to serve as a strategic bridge, directly contributing to high-quality human resources development and sustainable growth in each country, while helping to consolidate the solid social foundation of bilateral ties.

Lao Ambassador to Viet Nam Khamphao Ernthavanh has commended Viet Nam’s practical and constructive contributions to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)’s development and its growing global stature in an interview with the Viet Nam News Agency (VNA) on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Viet Nam’s accession to the bloc (July 28, 1995-2025).
