Innovating work related to female workers is an objective necessity for building a strong trade union organisation. Shifting from broad-based campaign activities to thoroughly addressing issues of vital importance to workers will enable the trade union organisation to become a truly reliable pillar of support and a long-term companion for the female workforce in the new era.

Community-based tourism is opening up more space for women to bring into play their inherent strengths, from cuisine and handicrafts to preserving and introducing indigenous culture. Beyond participating in service provision, many women are gradually becoming creators of products, owners of their livelihoods and beneficiaries of their communities’ cultural resources.
