Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has signed Decision No. 502/QD-TTg approving a plan to connect and share data between surveillance camera systems for security, public order, violation handling, and traffic management with the national population database, while also enabling data exchange with smart urban monitoring and operations centres.

The development and completion of national databases is a cornerstone in the digital transformation process. When data is standardised, interconnected, and effectively utilised, it becomes a critical foundation for modern governance, digital economic growth, and enhanced national competitiveness.

The national database on cadres, civil servants, and public employees plays a role in unifying and standardising personnel information throughout the entire State agency system. This provides a comprehensive view of the quantity, quality, and structure of the workforce in order to make decisions on personnel management and utilisation in a scientific and rational way.
