A scientific workshop titled “Defining a growth model aligned with Viet Nam’s economic restructuring for 2026–2030 period” took place in Ha Noi on December 10. The event was organised by the National Institute for Economics and Finance (Ministry of Finance) and attracted numerous participants, including policymakers and economic experts.

Ho Chi Minh City is rewriting the “formula” for its growth model, placing science and technology at the core of its new development momentum. This approach not only translates the Politburo’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW into action but also redefines the role of a post-merger megacity.

The draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress need to affirm clearly that breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are not only general directions, but must be positioned in direct connection with the ultimate goal of promoting economic growth, improving labour productivity, and addressing urgent national issues.
