Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong received Hayakawa Yuho, Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), in Ha Noi on May 25 to discuss further cooperation between the two sides.

According to the Australian Embassy in Ha Noi, the Australian Government has reaffirmed its strong and long-term commitment to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Viet Nam by increasing official development assistance (ODA) for the 2026–2027 period by nearly 2 million AUD compared with 2025–2026.

At the invitation of Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong, Governor-General of Australia David Hurley, is paying a State visit to Vietnam from April 3-6. This is the first official visit of a foreign head of state to Vietnam, in 2023 and the Governor-General of Australia is the first state guest of President Vo Van Thuong, in his new position.

Economic cooperation should continue to be the focus of bilateral ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai said at his talks with Deputy Assembly Speaker of the RoK Chung Woo-taik in Seoul on March 20.
