Politburo member, Standing member of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu on August 12 led a high-level delegation of the CPV to pay tribute to and attend the funeral service for Politburo member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane.

A high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Viet Nam, led by Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, paid tribute to Xaysomphone Phomvihane, Politburo member and President of the Lao National Assembly, and signed the condolence book in his memory in Vientiane on August 12.
