The Ministry of Health has affirmed that the Population Law, once enacted, will serve as the overarching legal framework for Viet Nam’s demographic work in the country’s next phase of development.

A draft Population Law is expected to be passed at the ongoing 10th plenary session of the 15th National Assembly. One of the issues attracting considerable feedback is the need for long-term solutions to maintain the replacement fertility rate.
